Charitable Christmas hampers: this year, your Christmas gift can also care
From Christmas 2026, every employee will be able to give all or part of their Christmas hamper budget to Alzheimer Catalunya Fundació, voluntarily and very easily.
What is a charitable Christmas hamper?
When a company runs its Christmas hamper campaign with Pekata, everyone on the team gets a budget and builds their own hamper in our selection portal. With charitable giving we add one more option to the catalogue: donate. Employees can give their whole budget to Alzheimer Catalunya Fundació, or combine the two — build their Christmas hamper and give away whatever share of the budget they choose.
There is no paperwork or extra admin for the company or the employee: the donation is chosen very easily, within the same hamper selection process, and Pekata passes it on to the foundation in full.
How it works, step by step
- 01 The company launches its Christmas campaign with Pekata
As always: set the budget per person and open the selection period. The donation appears as one more option in the catalogue, alongside the hampers.
- 02 Each employee decides freely
They can build their hamper, give it all away, or give away only part of their budget. Giving is always voluntary and individual.
- 03 Pekata transfers what was raised to the foundation
When the campaign closes, the amount raised is transferred to Alzheimer Catalunya Fundació and the company receives proof of what its team contributed.
- 04 The company shares the impact
We send you the summary of the charitable campaign: how many people gave and how much went to the foundation, ready for your CSR report.
So that nobody has to face Alzheimer's or another form of dementia alone.

The money raised goes towards support, guidance and companionship for people with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia, as well as for those caring for them. It helps develop care services, advice and activities that promote the wellbeing, quality of life and rights of those affected and their families.

Frequently asked questions
Is giving compulsory for employees?
No. Giving is always voluntary and individual. Each employee decides freely whether to put their budget towards a hamper, towards the donation, or towards a combination of both.
Can you give away only part of the budget?
Yes. Since everyone at Pekata builds their own hamper, they can combine their product selection with a donation: giving their whole budget or only the share they choose.
How does the money reach the foundation?
When each campaign closes, Pekata transfers the total amount raised directly to Alzheimer Catalunya Fundació's account and shares the proof of transfer with the company.
What proof does the company receive?
The company receives a summary of the charitable campaign (participation and amount given) along with proof of the transfer made to the foundation, ready to use in internal communications and the CSR report.
My company already works with another charity. Is this compatible?
Yes. Pekata can set up whichever cause the company prefers for its campaign. Alzheimer Catalunya Fundació is the cause we propose by default for Christmas campaigns, but the model is flexible.
